Thousands of people from around the world have purchased and enjoyed handcrafted stoneware pottery from Cindy Clarke through Out of the Fire Studio. Cindy is a potter with over thirty years of experience who as a teenager was inspired in a class with Carlton Ball and has never stopped pursuing her craft. Cindy and her husband Jim Willett founded Out of the Fire Studio in Edson,Alberta,Canada in 1999 and relocated to Edmonton, Alberta in 2001. By 2006 the couple were producing wholesale ware for 50 retailers in Western Canada, processing over 10 tons of clay per year. While they have downsized their operation recently, they continue to be involved with pottery making at a home studio level. Cindy has also instructed beginning pottery for the City Art Centre at ACT and works as "The Clay Teacher" in the schools. Jim is devoting more time to video and web work and the production of a series of project DVDs to be released in early 2011.
